Can I ride with a friend ?
This program is designed for two students, and enjoy the benefits of additional flight time and learning.
What type of plane do I train in ?
We fly a 1963 Piper Aztec B Dual G5s and Garmin 750
What Endorsements Do You Offer ?
Our flight school can comply with all endorsement requests including complex, high performance, and more.
How many flight hours should I plan for ?
Typically, our students allot about 10 hours of flight time in the Multi to have a student checkride ready if they are currently instrument rated current and proficient. We do also offer instrument rated certification.
How quickly can I schedule my Multi Engine checkride ?
Currently our schedule is built around DPE availability, and we are scheduling 4-6 weeks out
When are checkrides scheduled ?
Checkrides are Tuesday or Thursdays at JWN and include 1.5 hours of ground and 1.5 hours of air.Depending on your schedule, we ask for 4-5 days of flying before your checkride.
Ex) Saturday through Wednesday checkride Thursday with an extra day built in for weather or unforeseen circumstances
How do I schedule and or pay ?
All scheduling and payments are handled through Flight Circle.All multi related documents are on Flight Circle under Files N106JL.
Does the school offer time building opportunities ?
What does the Accelerated Multi-Engine training cost ?
Yes, once you achieve your multi engine rating, we offer a time building option so you can meet insurance requirements and or apply for an airline position. Typically we recommend 25 hours total including 15 hours PIC.
You can expect to budget approximately :
-$350/hr dry for Aztec rental
-fuel pay for what you use and we typically fly and find cheap fuel to help with costs
-$85/hr instructor fee
-$1000 for checkride fee to DPE
